Promotional film helps clean energy start-up secure £1 million

A promotional video created by Matter PR has helped clean-tech start-up Naked Energy secure over £1 million in investment.

Earlier this year, we created a PR film for Naked Energy Ltd, an award winning British design and innovation company specialising in solar technology and energy conservation. The company is developing ‘Virtu’, a revolutionary hybrid solar panel that generates both electricity and heat for commercial and industrial applications.

They developed their business with support from EIT Climate-KIC and other organisations but, to get the product to the next stage of commercialisation, they needed to secure around £1 million in investment. Engaging and inspiring potential investors was critical to their crowd-funding campaign.

Matter PR spent a day filming at their R&D facility in Crawley, Sussex and interviewed CEO and founder Christophe Williams.

“Creating a promotional film can be daunting, especially when the subject matter is something so critical to the success of your business. Matter PR were able to support us in a clear and professional way that instilled trust and confidence in how they would deliver the end product. They have extensive experience in film-making and cutting to the nub of what’s important in delivering a professional film that is on message.

In very little time, they were able to capture soundbites and video material that created a compelling short film.  The timing was perfect as we were about to lunch a crowd-funding campaign, which has come to a successful close.  I’m certain that their film had a positive impact on gaining investor confidence.

For any start-up or growing technology business, I would highly recommend the team at Matter PR.”
